According to couriermail.com.au, the inner northside suburbs of Brisbane is where all the development activity is happening.
In July we reported on the development boom in Bowen Hills, and this time it looks as though Nundah will be the one in the spotlight. Several large residential and commercial projects are already under way or about to start in the area, making it the focus of the current urban renewal boom.
The Brisbane City Council has recently approved the final plans for Circa Nundah Village which will become home to several retail, residential and commercial spaces over the next few years.
The project is being looked after by Property Solution’s, who have been planning the development since 2006 when the group amalgamated 2.5ha of land. Property Solutions past projects include James Street in Fortitude Valley, SW1 at South Bank, and The Barracks at Paddington.
Property Solution has recently announced Go Health Clubs as one of the confirmed tenants for the projects. Go Health Clubs plans to open a 2000sq m fitness centre in the building.
Property Solutions managing director Kevin Miller said Nundah had clearly been targeted as the next urban growth centre, with “benefits and consequences for the suburb and surrounding suburbs”.
The circanunda.com.au website states “The completion of the epic Airport Link Tunnel in 2012 will redefine the way Brisbane moves. Positioning Nundah only six minutes from the CBD, the creation of Circa Nundah Village is perfectly timed.”
