Strike Action
The Queensland Industrial Relations Commission has ruled that the planned statewide teacher’s strike cannot go ahead. The strike planned to be held on the 5th of August will not go ahead although a pay resolution has not been reached between the state government and Queensland Teachers’ Union.
The strike was not allowed given approval because the Queensland Teacher’s Union had not given adequate notification for the industrial reaction. The union is expected to announce another strike in the near future.
